Flightseeing trips depart from Ketchikan to give passengers aerial views of the stunning landscape. The long canal separates Revillagigedo Island from the mainland and provides passage to Walker Cove, Rudyerd Bay, and Punchbowl Cove - the preserve's most picturesque areas. The monument is known for its steep cliffs jutting 3, feet from the ocean, deep fjords, coastal rainforest, glacier-carved valleys, and unique geological features like old lava flows and mineral springs.
Scattered through the monument are 13 public use cabins that can be reserved in advance, plus four shelters that are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Toilet paper was a little rough biodegradable but everything was clean and the beds were comfortable. Food was too good - ate too much. It was very healthy with lots of fruit and veggies. We had a great chef and pastry chef on board.
The bar had good beer, liquor and wine and the bartender was always ready with some kind of treat when we came back from our adventures. Prices were reasonable. Captain Danny was very eager to please and he made sure we had the best experience possible. Good about communicating details, packing list, etc. We had an AdventureSmith's Aaron on the trip with us.

The only other development in the park are three public-use cabins along the fjords and a lodge. In , Kenai Fjords Glacier Lodge opened on Native-owned land in Aialik Bay within the park and is accessible by boat during the summer months.
There are no fees for entrance to Kenai Fjords National Park or camping. There is a nightly fee for the park's three public-use cabins which should be reserved in advance from the Alaska Public Lands Information Center ; Seward is miles south of Anchorage and can be reached via the Seward Highway or the Alaska Railroad during the summer months.

Wildlife The rugged coastline and stunning fjords are home to a diverse array of plants and animals. Deep U-shaped valleys, fjord cliffs, waterfalls and floating ice are the order of the day as you journey towards Tracy Arm with the twin Sawyer Glaciers. Look out for harbour seals and their pups likely lounging around as you explore from your skiff.
Humpbacks head here each season to feed on krill, zooplankton, and herring. Watch for whales feasting in these abundant glacial waters. Head off in search of whales and marine mammals in some of the most remote waters in Alaska. Have your camera ready as you explore the wilderness on land and sea.
Hop on a skiff for a closer inspection of the rugged coastline, keeping an eye on the shore for the chance of grizzly bear sightings. Here you will find puffins, black oystercatchers and sea lions at South Marble Island, mountain goats, bears and eagles in Tidal Inlet, as well as Margerie and Grand Pacific Glaciers.
